	In Jan 2022 we were tasked with the design and manufacture of a self centering vise to finish a component design prototype. Inside the scope of design was a requirement was to create flat surfaces on the clamping portion to accept rubber feet. We also created the mould for these feet. The centre pin is steel. Bushings on the slide rod we used Acetyl. The only part in this assembly we outsourced was the handle at $16. A RH and LH thread was required to make this work. In all a very successful project.
No job too small we were tasked with the design and manufacture of a series of 50mm bushes to secure 16mm rod. These we designed in SharkCad and machined out of 6061 Aluminuim
	We were approached by Opritech NZ Ltd with a request to remanufacture this theatre positioning paddle. Requirements were for for it to withstand the 138deg pulses inside a hospital stereliser. We chose Teflon for this purpose and pressed it onto a 316 SS rod to make it work. Client was so happy they asked for all of their stock to be remanufactrured this way.
In our own equipment upgrade for precision, accuracy and speed we decided to install 8.5A Nema 34 Motors and 25mm BallScrews. The X Axis on our machine was a very low profile design. To install the much larger Nema 34 we needed a low profile bracket to accept the motor and end bearing. This three piece assembly was designed and machined out of 6061 Alloy. The double angular bearings are a press fit for full rigidity. This was such a success we have kept this design and used it several times.
